Homemade Almond Milk

Overnight Almond Milk

This is our families easy overnight almond milk. We used to buy the store bought stuff but after discovering this easy way to make almond milk we haven't looked back. It's got this beautifully nutty flavour that goes perfect with cereal or use it in baked goods as a milk replacement. Hope you try it out and enjoy!

  • Nut-Milk Bag or Flour Sack Towel
  • Large Bowl
  • Glass Jar

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dry Roasted Unsalted Almonds
  • 5 cups Water

Instructions

  • Fill the jar with the 1 cup of almonds and some water to cover them. Then leave it overnight to soak on your counter.
  • In the morning drain and rinse the almonds.
  • Add the 1 cup of soaked almonds into your blender with 5 fresh cups of water.
  • Blend on high speed for about 2 minutes. (Longer if your blender isn't very powerful.)
  • Grab your flour sack towel or nut-milk bag and put it over a large bowl.
  • Pour the blended almonds and water into the cloth and use your hands to squeeze the liquid through. Be careful not to squeeze too hard or your milk will spray everywhere... lol
  • After it's strained, transfer the milk to a jar and store it in the fridge for about 3-4 days.
  • ENJOY!!!
